The JEE Main 2023 eligibility requirements cover information like educational background, age restriction, nationality, grade in class 12’s required courses, and more. If it is determined that a candidate does not meet the requirements for eligibility, they will not be allowed to sit for the JEE Main test in 2023. The 75% requirement for JEE Mains 2023 in board examinations for NIT, IIT, and CFTI admissions was reinstated by CSAB this year. To be admitted to universities that accept NTA JEE results, applicants must meet the requirements set out in the JEE Main 2023 eligibility requirements. The JEE Main 2023 registration process is open to those who meet the qualifying requirements. Admission to undergraduate (UG) programmes provided by JEE Main participating institutions requires passing the JEE Main test. The eligible candidates can check the JEE Main 2023 exam date online.

IIT JEE Main Eligibility Criteria 2024

Particulars Details
Qualifying exam ·       Students should have passed the 12th class or qualifying the exam in 2022 or 2023.

·       Candidates appearing in the 12th class or equivalent qualifying exams in 2024 can also apply.

JEE Main age limit ·       No age limit to appear for JEE Main 2024 exam. Any student who has passed the 12th class or its equivalent exam in the year 2022, and 2023, or appearing in 2024 can apply for the entrance exam.
Total number of attempts ·       Students can appear in the JEE Main exam for three consecutive years. The entrance test will be conducted in two attempts (January and April).
Subjects ·       B.E/B.Tech: Applicants should have passed the qualifying exam with Physics, Mathematics, and any one of (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or Technical Vocational Subjects).

·       B.Arch: Applicants should have passed the qualifying exam with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

·       B.Plan: Applicants should have passed the qualifying exam with Mathematics.

 JEE Main State of Eligibility: 

The state code for JEE Main eligibility in 2024 is independent of the candidate’s place of birth or residency.

A student’s eligibility will be determined by the state code from whence they passed the qualifying exam if they passed the 12th grade exam or a comparable exam from one state but took the improvement/supplementary exam from another state.The state of eligibility must be determined based on the state in which the study centre is located and the 12th % necessary for the JEE Mains 2024 or similar test from NIOS.

State Code for JEE Main Eligibility in 2024: This state code is independent of the candidate’s place of birth or domicile.

If a student completed the 12th grade exam or an equivalent exam from one state but took the improvement/supplementary exam from another state, their eligibility will be based on the state code from where they passed the qualifying exam.Based on the state in which the study centre is situated and the 12th percentile required for the JEE Mains 2023 or comparable test from NIOS, the eligibility state must be calculated.

JEE Main 2023 Eligibility Criteria: Admissions to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs

NITs/IIITs/GFTIs Admission: JEE Main 2024 Eligibility Requirements for Admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs Students must have received at least 75% of the required marks to pass the 12th grade or place in the top 20% of their class (65% for SC/ST applicants).

JEE Main 2024 Admission (B.Arch/B.Planning): He/She must have obtained at least a 50% overall score on the 10+2 exam or an equivalent exam from a recognised board.
